Door Rubber Band Hack

If you want to make sure that the latch doesn’t close when the door doesw. Use a rubber band around both knobs and twisting it so it stretches over the door latch. This works great when you are going in and out of your house while bringing in groceries or moving into the house. The band should prevent the door from closing completely..

Paper Clip Tape End Marker Hack

Don’t you hate using your finger nails or teeth to try and get a little piece of tape so you can use it? And you have to find that where the end is before you can even do that? Put a paperclip on the end of the tape after you use it and no more trying to find where the end of the tape is stuck to the role. Stick a small paper clip to the end of the roll. This hack makes it easier to find the end of that roll of tape you are using. Now no more searching!

Grocery Bag Hack

I hate having to make multiple trips from the car bringing in groceries. And If I try to get too many bags at once, my hands hurt because the bag loop digs into my joints. I think I have a trigger finger now because of carrying too many bags at once. Anyway, this hack should prevent you from straining your  hand and fingers while carrying in your groceries. Use a carabiner as a handle and hook your grocery bags together and use it as a handle to carry them inside. Works great if you have to go upstairs or a long distance to get from your car to the kitchen.

Plastic Pack Opening Hack

This hack is for those frustrating and irritating items that come in those sealed hard plastic packages. Usually you use a knife or scissors to open them, as a result, the edges are very sharp and can cut you easily. Now you can avoid the irrtation and frustration by using a hand held can opening. It easily cuts the plastic and leaves a nice clean and safer edge.

Pancakes Made Easy

If you put the pancake mix into an old ketchup bottle, it gives you the ability to squeeze the perfect amount of batter on the pan. Unless you plan on making ketchup flavored pancakes, make sure that you clean it thoroughly before trying this

Garage Tennis Ball Hack

No you will know how far to pull up into your garage without hitting the front wall or workbench. Tie some twine to a tennis ball and hang if from the ceiling in your garage. Hang it so when your windshield hit the tennis ball you know when to stop..

Fast Drink Cooling Hack

I don’t know how many times I wanted a cold drink it hadn’t been placed in the fridge to cool. Now you don’t have to wait for an hour to drink something cool. wrap a paper towel and the can or bottle, put it in the freezer for 15 minutes and it should be cold for your drinking pleasure. Don’t forget it! Cans and bottles with carbonated drinks will crack or explode!  if left in the freezer too long.

Cord Organization Hack

I know I have box a box with old cords that are all tangled. It would take me time to pull them all out to see which one I  need. Well if you want to keep track of all those cords, then try this Hack. Use toilet paper rolls to keep them organized. Roll up the cords and put them inside the roll for easy storage.


Drip-Free Ice Pack Hack

Now you don’t have to buy those expensive ice packs or worry about the ice melting onto the bed or furniture.. A pack of sponges are cheaper and will do the job. instead of putting ice in a ziploc bag, put in a sponge and soak it with water. Let it freeze and when you need it for an ice pack, you won’t have to worry about water dripping everywhere when it starts to melt


Post-It Note Cleaning Hack

A great hack for cleaning that dirty keyboard on your desk. Fold a Post-it note with the sticky part outward. Now use the sticky part between the keys to get rid of the dust and dirt. If your keyboard is extremely dirty, you may need to use a cotton swab dipped in some alcohol to get off the dirt and grime. Remember to unplug your keyboard or turn off your computer if you plan on using the cotton swab. And if you have Post-it notes attached all over your monitor, you might want to look into this Username/password Manager, it’s the one I use and it works great!


Cord Labeling Hack

This simple life Hack will make it easier to identify all those cables that are behind your desk or bedroom dresser. Computers and audo equipment use a lot of cables to attach all the accessories that they use. Now you can identify them with the tabs that come with a loaf of bread. You can label each Tab with a black sharpie and now you know where all your cables are going! no more trying to figure out which cable goes to which box!


Masking Tape Softening Trick

When you do not use masking tape for a long time, it gets sticky and hard,  making it hard to peel. With this hack, you just put in the tape roll in the microwave for a few seconds just before you use it, making it softer and easier to use.


Wooden Spoon Boiling Water Hack

This hack is very handy, especially if you like to cook. I know how annoying it is when the pot starts to boil over and all that foam goes all over the stove. This will save you from cleaning a big mess and having to constantly monitor that pot! Put a Wooden spoon across the top of the pot and it will not boil over.  It you want to look into the science you can see it here.


Stuck Zipper Hack

If you have a zipper stuck on your jacket or pants. Use this hack. you take a pencil and rub it over the zipper. The graphite in the pencil will lubricate the zipper, and It should be easier to open and close. You may have to move the zipper up and down in order to lubricate it sufficiently to work.  


Reduce Frozen Meat Thawing Time

Now you can reduce the time it takes to unfreeze your ground meat. When freezing, put it in a ziploc bag and flatten it as much as you can. This will also create more room in your freezer and you meat will thaw faster.


Hang Your Frozen Fruits And Veggies

Now you can avoid freezer burned veggies and fruits that are in the freezer. Roll up the veggie or fruit bag and attach to the grates of the freezer shelf with binder clips. It will create more space in your freezer, and you will not have to pull out all the bags stacked on top of it, before you can get to it.


Separate Egg Yolks With A Plastic Bottle

If you have a recipe that requires you to separate the egg yolk from the whites. You may be one that can do it easily by h and, but if you are having trouble perfecting it, you can use an empty water or soda bottle to help you. All you have to do is compress the bottle slightly and place over the yolk. As you let go of the bottle, it will create enough suction for the yolk to be pulled into the bottle. Hopefully you can use that yolk in another recipe!


Keep Garbage Bags In Place

Now you can avoid the hassle of trying to pull up the edge of the trash bag from inside trash can. Just attach some adhesive hooks to the side of the bin and it will stay in place until you need to empty it. the Command hooks are awesome at doing so many things, and this is another one to add to that long list. To help keep garbage bags with handles in place, put some adhesive hooks to the outside of the garbage bin and hook them into place.


Freshen Your Home In A Jiffy

You can get rid of those family home odors around the house. Whether from cooking fish, broccoli tuna, you can now eliminate the smell quickly and easily. Take some dryer sheets and place them over you’re A/C, Fan, or Heater Vents. It shouldn’t take long to get rid of those unwanted odors.


Line Your Fridge With Cling Wrap

This Hack will avoid hours of cleaning and scrubbing inside your fridge. You can get some Press and Seal wrap and line the shelves of your fridge. When it’s time to clean your fridge, just remove the food and then unpeel the wrap and replace.


Use Tin Foil To Cushion Batteries

I don’t know how many times, the battery in my remote control or wireless keyboard has suddenly run out power. And you can’t seem to find the AA batteries you need. (I always seem to have the battery type that I don’t need at the time. Well, now when you have those AAA batteries and no AA, you can use the AAA temporarily until you can replace them. Take some tin foil and wrap it around the AAA battery and it will now fit snugly in place. The tin foil will still conduct the electric current so it should work properly


Hang Spray Bottles On A Clothing Rod

Avoid the kitchen counter mess full of spray bottles. You can use a clothing rod to hang them up, keeping them organized and easy to identify. And now you have more space on your kitchen counter or cabinet.


When Microwaving Leftovers, Put A Hole In The Middle

How many times have you cooked something in the microwave only to find that the center is still cold or frozen. This hack will avoid that pitfall. Now all you have to do is arrange your food so there is no center.


Open Key Rings Without Messing Up Your Fingers

Trying to remove that key from your key ring can be annoying. It usually breaks a nail in the attempt. Time to avoid it. Use a staple remover and you can pry it open with ease.

Remove Strawberry Leaves With A Straw

Adding strawberries to your dessert or cereal? This hack will easily remove the stem leaves from the strawberry. Use a straw and shove it through from the bottom out the top. All the leaves should be gone.

Peel A Potato Without A Peeler Or A Knife

How long does it take to peel a potato. Using a knife will inevitably take more of the potato than you want and take longer. with this hack you just need two bowls, one with hot and one with cold water. put the potato in hot water first, then in the cold water. the peel should come off easily. Make Eggshells Peel Much More Easily With Baking Soda

before boiling your eggs, add some baking soda to the water (a teaspoon) and the shell should peel easily.

Revitalize your faded flowers with almost no effort.

Revitalize those flowers you got for mother’s day, valentines day or your birthday. Add some hot water to the vase and put in the flowers until the water cools. Trim the ends and put back in the cold water. The flowers should perk up and look fresh in minutes.
