Green Man Gaming (GMG) is a giant in the video gaming industry. They offer the top rated newest games to indie titles on many different platforms (PC, consoles, etc..). They offer their games in 196 countries all over the world. T Offering competitive pricing from over 450 Publishers. GMG also helps game developers publish and market their games with full support.
Huge Community
They have a blog and forum where they offer overviews and guides for the newest to classic titles. Their blog offers giveaways, videos and all things gaming.
cdkeys.com
This is a massive online website that offers gaming keys for all platforms similar to Green man Gaming. Their site is completely commercial in nature for the sole purpose of selling you the games. Their discounted prices are listed with every game offer.There is no community or other gaming resources.

Benefits of green man gaming
They are retail website and authorized re seller of games by the 450 publishers it has contracts with. As a result, any game key that you receive is guaranteed to work. Which means that if your key is invalid, then they will refund or replace your key.
Their pricing is very competitive consistently showing 10-75% discounts for games from Steam which is the largest gaming platform today.
They also have a VIP program for their loyal customers. You get an invitation to join at some point after making a designated amount of purchases. The benefit is you get a further discount off from its already discounted price.
cdkeys.com
This is a very interesting website. You get massive discounts for cdkeys.com from almost any game that has been released. These discounts surpass even those from Green man gaming. Currently they are offering Elder Scrolls Online Elsweyr Digital download for 24% off @ $24.29, while green man gaming is offering for 18% off @ $32.79. Most of their games beat out their competition.
How can cdkeys.com sell for so much cheaper than green man gaming? This is where most people would have to make a decision. Because there is a downside to buying from cdkeys.com.
They are considered a grey market dealer. Which means, they get game keys from 3rd parties and not from the Publishers:
- Other gamer’s Unopened games sold to cdkeys.com for resale
- Promotional keys given to certain websites or companies, but usually not intended for resale.
- Game keys purchased with stolen credit cards and sold to cdkeys.com
The consequences for the buyer can result in a game key that does not work. From researching some forums about getting key replacements, the results were inconclusive. Some were able to get replacement keys, while others were not.
In some cases, if the game key was purchased with a stolen credit card and then resold to you, Steam will remove your game access, because the publisher will let them know it was bought with a stolen credit card. This could happen months later so your recourse is limited.
The Winner is…
My conclusion GMG, but cdkeys.com is a viable source of gaming that comes with risk of your game key being banned later and stop working. I personally have bought over 10 games from them for my son and had not had any issues. But, every time I bought a game from them, I worried about the key not working or losing the game after already playing for awhile.
If your peace of mind is worth a couple extra dollars to you, then I would buy from green man gaming.
Since I just found this site and it seems like a good alternative to cdkeys.com without the worries. PERSONALLY, I plan to visit and purchase games from Green man gaming.
